Mr. Vargas of Haverhill moves to amend the bill by striking out the amendment in its entirety and inserting in place thereof the following:-

Mr. Vargas of Haverhill moves to amend the bill in section 12 by adding the following subsection:-

(f) A business that discloses, transfers or processes information solely for the purposes of payment, treatment or health care operations, as defined by 45 CFR 164.501, shall not be in violation of this section.
