Amendment #15 to S2581

No Unfunded Mandates for Device Policies

Mr. Sweezey of Duxbury moves to amend the bill by inserting after section 2 the following section:

“SECTION 2A. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, nothing in section 40 of chapter 69 or section 102 of chapter 71, nor any guidance, model policy or regulation issued pursuant thereto, shall be construed to require a school district to incur new or additional costs to comply with the provisions of said sections; provided, however, that a school district may, at its discretion, adopt policies or measures that result in additional costs".
