Amendment #27 to S2581
Accessibility Protections for Students
Mr. Ultrino of Malden moves to amend the bill in section 2, line 104, after the word “emergency” by inserting the following clause:
“(v) it is considered assistive technology, including but not limited to augmentative and alternative communication devices, devices used for communication, regulation, executive functioning, and access to the curriculum.”
and in section 2, line 111, after the word “day” by inserting the following subsection:
“(e) Nothing in this section shall be interpreted as limiting or restricting a student’s access to assistive technology or accommodations required under federal or state law.”
