Data Privacy and Digital Education Fund

Ms. Rausch moves that the proposed new draft be amended by adding the following section:-

SECTION X. Civil penalties collected by the attorney general pursuant to section 10 of chapter 93M of the General Laws shall be deposited into a separate account established by the state treasurer and receiver general and used first to pay for the costs incurred by the attorney general in administering this section. Any remaining funds shall be used to assist seniors and other higher-risk populations with data privacy and digital education. The office of the state treasurer and receiver general shall publish an annual report on its website listing disbursements from this account.
