Redraft Amendment 4

New Recruit Training on Lawful Orders

Mr. Moore, Ms. Kennedy and Messrs. Montigny and Payano move that the proposed new draft be amended by adding the following words:- 

“The fourth paragraph of said subsection (b) of said section 15 of said chapter 33, as so appearing, is hereby amended by adding the following sentence:-

The adjutant general shall create and implement an in-service training curriculum for commanders to utilize in the training of service members under their responsibility to uphold lawful orders, which shall include, but shall not be limited to, guidance on orders that violate constitutional or statutory rights under the Uniform Code of Military Justice of the Armed Forces of the United States in 10 U.S.C. section 892.”.
