Veterans Equality Review Board

Mr. Cyr moves that the proposed new draft be amended by adding the following section:-

"SECTION X. Section 16 of Chapter 115, as appearing in the 2024 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out, in lines 2 and 7, the words 'other than honorable' and inserting in place thereof the following word:- 'administrative'; and by inserting, in line 12, after the second sentence, the following words:- 'The board may waive length of service requirements, including the requirement to serve on active duty for at least 90 days, for service members discharged under this subsection to satisfy benefit eligibility. A determination that a veteran was discharged pursuant to this subsection shall be the only proof required to qualify for any state programs or benefits available to veterans.'.”
