Eligibility

Messrs. Tarr and Rodrigues move to amend the bill by striking out the last sentence in lines 11-13 and inserting in place thereof the following:-- "A law enforcement officer shall be deemed to have been killed in the line of duty for purposes of this paragraph if, while in the performance of their duties and as a result of incident, accident or violence, the law enforcement officer was killed or sustained injuries which were a direct and proximate cause of their death."
