Amendment #12 to S2916

Expanding to all candidates and initiative petitions

Mr. Markey of Dartmouth moves to amend the bill in section 2, Paragraph 22A½ of chapter 53, by striking out the first paragraph  and inserting in place thereof the following: "No person shall provide anything of value contingent upon the number of signatures collected for any candidate for office described in the first paragraph of section 6 of chapter 53, or a statewide initiative petition or referendum petition, including but not limited to payments on a fee per signature or incentive bonuses for obtaining a certain number of signatures shall be prohibited”
