School District Unfunded Mandate reimbursement funding

Messrs. Tarr and O'Connor move that the proposed new text be amended in section 10 of the bill, in line 117, by inserting after the word "dyslexia" the following words:- "provided further, that the department of elementary and secondary education shall provide funding, subject to appropriation, sufficient to cover the costs incurred by school districts to implement the screening assessments and progress monitoring required under this section, including but not limited to costs associated with assessment tools, data management, staff training, and parent communications."
