Utilizing surplus land at Cape Cod Community College

Messrs. Cyr and Fernandes move that the proposed new text be amended  in section 2, in item 7066-8002, by adding the following words:- “provided further, that funds shall be expended by the division of capital asset management and maintenance to assess the development of student, seasonal and year-round workforce housing on real property at Cape Cod Community College deemed surplus to the current and foreseeable needs of Cape Cod Community College pursuant to section 34A of chapter 7C of the General Laws; provided further, that the division shall prepare a report which shall include, but not limited to, a plan for the construction of such housing, including projected units, infrastructure needs, necessary funding, identification of funding sources and appropriate reuse restrictions; and provided further, that not later than June 30, 2027, the division shall submit the report to the clerks of the senate and house of representatives, the house and senate committees on ways and means and the joint committee on housing”.
