Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program

Messrs. Payano, Collins, Mark and Moore, Ms. Kennedy, Messrs. Gómez, Eldridge, Keenan and Lewis, Ms. Edwards, Ms. Rausch and Messrs. Montigny, O'Connor and Brady moved that the proposed new text be amended in section 2, in item 1201-0100, by striking out the following words:- "; and provided further, that funds shall be expended to organizations providing tax assistance services to individuals and families qualifying for the volunteer income tax assistance program, in partnership with the Internal Revenue Service" and inserting in place thereof the following words:- "; and provided further, that not less than $820,000 shall be expended to organizations providing tax assistance services to individuals and families qualifying for the volunteer income tax assistance program, in partnership with the Internal Revenue Service".
