Blue Hill Ave Climate Resilience and Environmental Justice Corridor Initiative

Ms. Miranda and Mr. Driscoll move that the proposed new draft be amended in section 2C, in item 2000-7089, by adding the following words:-  “; provided further, that not less than $1,000,000 shall be expended to the office of climate resilience in the city of Boston, in consultation with the Boston public health commission and local community-based organizations, for the implementation of a Blue Hill Avenue Climate Resilience and Environmental Justice Corridor Initiative which may include, but shall not be limited to, street tree planting and maintenance, green infrastructure, cool pavement and cool roof pilot programs, the expansion of shaded public spaces, air quality monitoring and pollution mitigation strategies along high-traffic areas"; and by striking out the figure "$100,000" and inserting in place the following figure:- "$1,100,000".
