Promoting the Health of the Merrimack River

Messrs. Tarr, Driscoll and Finegold move that the proposed new draft be amended in section 2C, in item 2000-7089, by adding the following words:- "; provided further, that not less than $1,250,000 shall be expended to the Merrimack Valley Planning Commission for projects, equipment and other costs associated with improving and maintaining the health of the Merrimack river and its watershed including, but not limited to, dam removal or modification, monitoring, acquiring tests and analytical equipment and supplies, modeling, combined sewer overflow reduction project planning, design, construction, nonpoint source pollution identification and elimination and infiltration and inflow reduction and elimination efforts"; and by striking out the figure "$100,000" and inserting in place thereof the following figure:- "$1,350,000".
