Redraft Amendment 47

Banning black plastic

Mr. Lewis, Ms. Jehlen and Mr. Payano move that the proposed new draft be amended by inserting after section 12 the following section:-

“SECTION 12A. Section 3 of chapter 21P of the General Laws, inserted byearing in section 12, is hereby amended by adding the following subsection:-

(c) No food service ware provided pursuant to this section shall be made from black plastic; provided, however, that this subsection shall not apply to prepared food packaged outside the commonwealth.”; and

in section 88, by striking out, in line 2570, the words “Section 43” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- “Sections 12A and 43”.
