Supporting Upstream Solutions to PFAS pollution

Mr. Brownsberger, Ms. Comerford, Messrs. Fernandes, Cyr, Moore and Eldridge, Ms. Howard, Mr. Montigny and Ms. Lovely move that the proposed new draft be amended in section 2A, in item 2200-7029, by adding the following words:- “; provided further, that not less than $5,000,000 shall be expended for research, technical assistance and grants to advance safer alternatives to per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances in products and manufacturing and projects that prevent the future release of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances in air, water and soil"; and by striking out the figure “$120,000,000” and inserting in place thereof the following figure:- “$125,000,000”.
