Lizotte Drive and Arnold Brook Watershed Flood Mitigation in Bellingham

Mr. Soter of Bellingham moves to amend the bill in Section 2C, in item 2000-7089, by inserting after “projects” the following: - “; provided that not less than $3,500,000 shall be expended to the town of Bellingham for the design, permitting and construction of flood mitigation and drainage improvements within the Arnold Brook watershed, which shall include, but not be limited to: (i) the replacement of the Lizotte drive culvert with a larger span structure to alleviate hydraulic restrictions; (ii) the extension of the closed drainage system along Dalmor road, Lizotte drive, Newland avenue, Prairie street, Edgewood road and Morin drive; (iii) the expansion of storage capacity and retrofit of the Fox Run basin; and (iv) the creation of a swale between Whitehall way and Fox Run to divert stormwater flow away from residential properties.” and in said item by striking out the figures “$100,000” and inserting in place thereof the figures “$3,600,000”.
