Independent Clinical Review of AI-Assisted Adverse Determinations

Mr. Paulino of Methuen moves to amend the bill in SECTION 34, in proposed section 12C of chapter 176O, by inserting after subsection (d) the following subsection:-

(d½) A licensed physician or other licensed health care professional making an adverse determination shall exercise independent clinical judgment and shall document the clinical basis for the adverse determination in sufficient detail to permit review under this chapter.
