Amendment #91 to S3141

Patient Access to Care

Representatives Decker of Cambridge, Consalvo of Boston, Garry of Dracut, Stanley of Waltham and Turco of Winthrop move to amend the bill by adding the following sections:

"SECTION XX. The group insurance commission shall provide coverage for GLP-1 medications prescribed for the treatment of obesity; provided further, that the commission shall require a copayment of not more than $200 per prescription or refill for such medications.

SECTION XX. The division of medical assistance shall maintain coverage for GLP-1 medications prescribed for the treatment of obesity; provided further, that in restoring coverage the division shall seek all available discounts from manufacturers."
