Remote Inspections of Solar Projects

Mr. Eldridge, Ms. Edwards and Mr. Keenan move that the proposed new text be amended in section 33, by inserting after subsection (r) the following subsection:-

(s) Municipalities shall make an inspection under this section available within 2 business days of a request or provide an option for remote inspections via recorded video or photo that can be submitted electronically for projects permitted by the commonwealth smart solar permitting platform. These inspections shall be offered at no greater cost, and shall be available with no greater delay, than in-person inspections.
