Redraft Amendment 2

Definition of User

Mr. Payano, Ms. Jehlen, Ms. Kennedy, Ms. Edwards and Messrs. Keenan, Montigny and Tarr move that the proposed new draft be amended in section 1, by inserting after the word “account” , in line 100, the following text:- “or otherwise”; and

in said section 1, by inserting after the word “user,” the first time it appears in line 105, the following words:- “who accesses or uses the covered operator’s social media platform through an account”; and

in said section 1, by striking out, in line 109, the words “that opts out of such methods” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- “for whom the covered operator has not used such methods to determine if the user is a covered minor”.
