Mandatory Consultation

Mr. Tarr moves that the proposed new text be amended by inserting at the end of line 198 the following:- "Before exercising the authority to arrest without a warrant under this section, the responding officer shall, whenever time and safety permit, consult with the attending physician or the charge nurse on duty to determine if the conduct is a manifestation of a medical condition or psychiatric illness."
