Community-Based Behavioral Health Crisis Response Resources

Ms. Friedman and Ms. Comerford move that the proposed new text be amended by inserting after the words “chapter 111”, in line 198, the following words:- “; provided, said officer shall use de-escalation tactics and diversion strategies and, where available, community-based behavioral health crisis response resources. Nothing in this section shall be construed to alter the requirements established in section 14 of chapter 6E, including but not limited to requirements regarding de-escalation tactics, or to create any exemptions from said requirements”.
