Local Economic Development Projects

Mr. DiDomenico moved that the proposed new text be amended in section 2, in item 7008-1116, by adding the following words:- "; provided further, that not less than $25,000 shall be expended for East End House, Inc. in the city of Cambridge to provide comprehensive support services for families; provided further, that not less than $25,000 shall be expended for the Cambridge Economic Opportunity Committee, Inc. in the city of Cambridge for economic stability and mobility services; provided further, that not less than $25,000 shall be expended for the Margaret Fuller House, Incorporated in the city of Cambridge for community advancement programming; provided further, that not less than $25,000 shall be expended to Cambridge Nonprofit Coalition for its services and community programs in the city of Cambridge; provided further, that not less than $50,000 shall be expended for Just-A-Start Corporation's biomedical careers program in the city of Cambridge; provided further, that not less than $25,000 shall be expended to the East Cambridge Business Association for services to provide for community activities; provided further, that not less than $25,000 shall be expended for Transition House in the city of Cambridge to address domestic violence through intervention and prevention; and by striking out the figure "$100,000" and inserting in place thereof the following figure:- "$300,000".
