Mr. Collins moved that the proposed new text be amended in section 2, in item 7008-1116, by adding the following words:- "; provided further, that not less than $150,000 shall be expended for the New England Medical Association for the purpose of addressing health disparities and increasing the diversity of the physician workforce in the commonwealth; provided further, that the funds shall be used to support the recruitment and retention of physicians of color and to improve health outcomes in underserved communities"; and by striking out the figure “$100,000” and inserting in place thereof the following figure:- “$250,000”.
