Ms. Miranda and Messrs. Brady, Fernandes and Montigny moved that the proposed new text be amended in section 2, in item 7008-1116, by adding the following words:- “; provided further, that not less than $125,000 shall be expended for the Massachusetts Cabo Verdean Cultural Center Commission established in chapter 1 of the resolves of 2024 to support work of the commission including, but not limited to, the procurement of a consultant to conduct the feasibility study under said chapter 1 of the resolves of 2024, the facilitation of statewide listening sessions and community engagement activities, administrative support, research, planning and other duties necessary to carry out the commission’s responsibilities”; and by striking out the figure “$100,000” and inserting in place thereof the following figure:- "$225,000”.
