Green Crab Trapping and Great Marsh Restoration

Mr. Tarr moved that the proposed new text be amended in section 2, in item 2330-0100, by adding the following words:- "; provided further, that not less than $175,000 shall be expended for a program administered by the University of Massachusetts at Amherst Marine Station in Gloucester to support marsh restoration and revitalization activities, including, but not limited to: (i) a green crab trapping program for applied research and product development; (ii) high‑resolution drone mapping to assess deterioration of the Great Marsh; (iii) the continuation of microplastic and macroplastic sampling; and (iv) academic study and processing of samples from the water column, beach environment, marsh peat and eelgrass."; and by striking out the figure "$874,250,000" and inserting in place thereof the following figure:-"$874,425,000".
