Reach Out and Read, Inc.

Messrs. Cronin and Keenan, Ms. Rausch, Messrs. Fernandes, Mark, Collins, Lewis and Brady, Ms. Miranda, Messrs. Eldridge, Driscoll and Cyr, Ms. Howard and Messrs. Velis, Payano and O'Connor moved that the proposed new text be amended in section 2, by inserting after item 3000-7055 the following item:

"xxxx-xxxx    For Reach Out and Read, Inc.; provided, that the funds distributed through Reach Out and Read, Inc. shall be contingent upon a match of not less than $1 in private or corporate contributions for every $1 in state grant funding...................................$1,750,000".
