Southcoast Rail Student Fare Discount

Mr. Montigny moved that the proposed new text be amended in section 2, in item 7008-1116, by adding the following words:- “; provided further, that funds shall be expended for Bridgewater state university, in collaboration with the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority, for the continuation of a reduced fare pilot program for student semester commuter rail passes along the South Coast rail corridor, also known as the Fall River/New Bedford line during the 2026-2027 academic year; provided further, that funds appropriated for the program in fiscal year 2026 shall not revert and shall be made available for the purposes of the program in fiscal year 2027”.
