New Bedford Children's Equality and Empowerment

Mr. Montigny moved that the proposed new text be amended in section 2, in item 7010-1192, by adding the following words:- “; provided further, that not less than $500,000 shall be expended to SouthCoast Community Foundation. Inc to administer a 1-time grant program to provide access to resources for underserved residents in the greater New Bedford area; provided further, that funds appropriated for the grant program in fiscal year 2024, fiscal year 2025 and fiscal year 2026 shall not revert and shall be made available for the purposes of the program in fiscal year 2027”; and by striking out the figure “$100,000” and inserting in place thereof the following figure:- “$600,000”.
