Agricultural Vocational Admissions

Mrs. Dooner moved that the proposed new text be amended by inserting after section __ the following new section:—

"SECTION __. Notwithstanding any general or special law, rule, or regulation to the contrary, any vocational-technical education program operated pursuant to chapter 74 of the General Laws with a primary focus on agricultural, horticultural or natural resource-based instruction may utilize selective admissions criteria, including but not limited to academic performance, attendance, disciplinary record and demonstrated interest in the program of study, and shall not be required to implement a lottery-based admissions system."
