Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program

Mr. Payano moved that the proposed new text be amended in section 2, in item 1201-0100, by striking out the words "that funds shall be expended to organizations providing tax assistance services to individuals and families qualifying for the volunteer income tax assistance program, in partnership with the Internal Revenue Service, for the provision of such services" and inserting in place thereof the following words:- "that not less than $1,500,000 shall be expended  to organizations providing tax assistance services to individuals and families qualifying for the volunteer income tax assistance program, in partnership with the Internal Revenue Service, for the provision of such services".
