Supporting Homeschooled Military Families

Mr. Velis moved that the proposed new text be amended by inserting after section ___ the following section:-

"SECTION ___. Section 1 of Chapter 76 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2020 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the word “section” in line 38, the following words:

A person who is a member of the armed forces of the United States and stationed in the commonwealth pursuant to military orders who moves into a school district after the school year has begun shall notify the district superintendent of his intention to provide home instruction as soon as practicable, if applicable, and shall thereafter comply with the requirements with the requirements of this section within 30 days of such notice.”
