Salem Skipper Microtransit Service

Ms. Lovely moved that the proposed new text be amended in section 2E, in item 1595-6379, by adding the following words:- "; provided further, that no less than $2,500,000 be allocated for the continuation of the Salem Skipper, an on-demand microtransit service operating in the cities of Salem and Beverly and the town of Danvers; provided, that said funds shall be used to sustain service operations for a program that tens of thousands of North Shore residents including low-income workers, seniors, students, and people with disabilities depend on for access to employment, medical care, education, and daily essentials;" and by striking out the figures $11,671,807 and inserting in place thereof the following figures:- "$14,171,807"
