Achieving Meaningful Cost Reductions

Ms. Rausch moves that the proposed new text be amended by adding the following new section:-

Not later than March 31, 2025, the executive office of housing and livable communities, in collaboration with the executive office of administration and finance, shall prepare a plan to reduce administrative costs and improve administrative efficiencies in the emergency housing assistance program sufficient to yield a reduction of 20 per cent or more in per family per month aggregated expenses; provided, that the plan shall be provided in writing to the inspector general, the chairs of the house and senate committees on ways and means, the chairs of the joint committee on housing, and the chairs of the joint committee on children, families and persons with disabilities; and provided further, that the executive office of housing and livable communities shall begin implementing the plan not later than April 15, 2025.
