Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives
in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same,
SECTION 1. Chapter two of the acts of nineteen hundred and twenty-six is hereby repealed.
SECTION 1A. Notwithstanding any provision of general or special law to the contrary, the provisions of chapter thirty-one of the General Laws, and the rules and regulations made thereunder, shall hereafter not apply to the inspector of buildings of the city known as the town of Watertown.
SECTION 1B. The city known as the town of Watertown is hereby authorized to enact general and zoning ordinances consistent with the terms of this act and with the General Laws to provide for the employment and duties of the inspector of buildings.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
