AN ACT CLARIFYING THE PRESENTMENT OF CLAIMS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives
in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same,
Section 4 of chapter 258 of the General Laws, as amended by section 2
of chapter 343 of the acts of 1987, is hereby further amended by inserting
after the first paragraph
the following paragraph:-
Notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding paragraph, in the case of
a city or town, presentment of a claim pursuant to this section shall be
deemed sufficient if presented to any of the following: mayor, city
manager, town manager, corporation counsel, city solicitor, town counsel,
city clerk, town clerk, chairman of the board of selectmen, or executive
secretary of the board of selectmen.
