AN ACT MAKING CERTAIN CORRECTIVE CHANGES IN CERTAIN GENERAL AND SPECIAL LAWS.
Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would
tend to defeat its purpose, which is to
immediately make certain corrective changes in certain general and special laws,
therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law,
necessary for the immediate preservation of the
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives
in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same,
SECTION 1. Section 3 of chapter 760 of the acts of 1987 is
by inserting after the words "thirty-five", in line 8, the
words:- , thirty-eight, forty-one.
SECTION 2. Said section 3 of said chapter 760 is hereby
further amended by striking out, in line 9, the words "and fifty-one" and
inserting in place thereof the words:- , fifty-one, fifty-two, fifty-three,
fifty-four and fifty-five.
SECTION 3. Paragraph (c) of section 10 of chapter 28A of
the General Laws, as most
recently amended by section 3 of chapter 773 of the acts of 1987, is
hereby further amended by inserting after the second sentence the following
sentence:- Fines authorized by this section shall range from fifty dollars
to one thousand dollars; provided, however, that in no case shall a fine
imposed on a family day care home or day care center, as defined in section
nine, exceed a maximum fine of two hundred and fifty dollars.
SECTION 4. The provisions of sections one and two of this act
shall take effect as of April thirteenth, nineteen hundred and eighty-eight.
