Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives
in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same,
Section 6 of chapter 38 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 1986 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the first paragraph the following paragraph:-
In carrying out the duties prescribed by this section, the medical examiner shall be entitled to review and receive copies of medical records or information which he deems relevant to establishing the cause and manner of death. No person shall be subject to liability of any nature for providing such records or information at the request of the medical examiner.
