Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives
in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same,
SECTION 1. Section 21 of chapter 218 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 1988 Official Edition, is hereby amended by adding the following paragraph:-
In the hearing and disposition of any claim for money damages within the jurisdiction of such procedure, the Boston municipal and district court departments shall have all equity powers and jurisdiction conferred by sections one, one A and two, and clause (1) of section three of chapter two hundred and fourteen.
SECTION 2. The first paragraph of section 22 of said chapter 218, as so appearing, is hereby amended by striking out the first sentence and inserting in place thereof the following sentence:- The procedure shall include the beginning of actions with an entry fee of ten dollars for claims of five hundred dollars or less and fifteen dollars for claims of greater than five hundred dollars, plus the surcharge required by section four C of chapter two hundred and sixty-two, but without summons and complaint and without requirement, except by special order of court, of any pleading other than a concise written statement of the claim.
