AN ACT VALIDATING THE ACTS AND PROCEEDINGS OF THE SPECIAL TOWN MEETING OF THE TOWN OF ROCKLAND.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives
in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same,
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of any general or special law to the
contrary, all acts and proceedings of the town of Rockland at its special
town meeting held on December thirteenth, nineteen hundred and
eighty-eight, and all actions taken pursuant thereto are hereby ratified,
validated and confirmed to the same extent as if the warrant for such
special town meeting had been published and posted as required by law.
SECTION 2. The vote taken by the town of Rockland on question 8
at the biennial state election held on November eighth, nineteen hundred
and eighty-eight, to exempt certain bonds from the limitations of
proposition two and one-half, so-called, is hereby ratified, validated and
confirmed, notwithstanding any defect or omission in the notice or calling
of the election.
SECTION 3. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
