Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives
in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same,
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of sections 40E through 40J of chapter seven of the General Laws or any other general or special law to the contrary, the deputy commissioner of the division of capital planning and operations is hereby authorized to convey any and all right, title and interest the commonwealth may have in the following described real property standing in the name of the Northern Worcester County Welfare District and said right, title and interest shall vest in the town of Templeton upon recording a copy of this act, certified by the state secretary, in the Worcester district registry of deeds by the town clerk which recording shall be effective to convey said title to said town. Said real property is bounded and described as follows:-
A certain tract of land situated on the westerly side of South Road in Templeton and bounded and described as follows:
Commencing at a point in the Easterly line of Wellington Road at a corner of walls and land now or formerly of the Town of Templeton, known as the "School Lot"; thence south 0<= 39' W., by the line of said road 100.32 feet to a stake at land now or formerly of on Leonard' thence N. 87<= 21' E. by land of said Leonard 372.5 feet to an iron pipe in the westerly line of South Road thence N. 10<= 30' W. by the line of said road 99.6 feet to a stake at land now or formerly of the Town of Templeton, known as the "School Lot"; thence S. 87<= 32' W. 352.9 feet by said Town of Templeton land to the place of beginning.
Being the premises described in a deed dated August 19, 1961 and recorded in the Worcester district registry of deeds, Book 4218, Page 253.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
