AN ACT RELATIVE TO THE APPOINTMENT OF THE CHIEF OF POLICE IN THE TOWN OF DEDHAM.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives
in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same,
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of section ninety-seven A
of chapter forty-one of the General Laws regarding the term of appointment, the
town of Dedham is hereby authorized to appoint a chief of police annually or
for a term of years not exceeding five years under the provisions of said
section ninety-seven A.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
