AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE CITY KNOWN AS THE TOWN OF METHUEN TO MAKE A CERTAIN PAYMENT.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives
in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same,
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of section
thirty-nine M of chapter thirty, chapter thirty B
and section forty-four J of chapter one hundred and forty-nine of the General
Laws, the charter of the city known as the town of Methuen,
any rule, regulation or ordinance or any other general or special law to the
said town of Methuen is hereby authorized to make payment under a contract
with Watertown Engineering Corp. known as Contract C-92-42 approved by
the Methuen town council on the sixteenth day of April, nineteen hundred and
ninety-two; provided, however, that in no event shall the amount paid by said
town pursuant to the contract exceed the amount specified in said
contract, nor exceed payment for five hundred and ninety-one crypts and
