AN ACT FURTHER REGULATING SCHOOL SUSPENSIONS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives
in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same,
Paragraph (c) of the fourth paragraph of section 37H of chapter 71 of the
General Laws, as appearing in section 36 of chapter 71 of the acts of 1993,
is hereby amended by striking out the second paragraph and inserting in
place thereof the following paragraph:-
After said hearing, a principal may, in his discretion, decide to suspend
rather than expel a student who has been determined by the principal to have
violated either paragraph (a) or (b).
