AN ACT RELATIVE TO THE APPOINTMENT OF DONALD B. POWELL TO THE POLICE DEPARTMENT OF THE CITY OF BOSTON.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives
in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same,
Notwithstanding the provisions of section 26 of
chapter 31 of the General Laws or any other general or special law to the
contrary, Donald B. Powell, so long as he passes the required written and
physical examinations for entrance to the police service, shall have his name
certified for original appointment to the police department of the city of
Boston before all others in the eligible list for such appointment.
This act shall take effect upon its passage.
