AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE TOWN OF WINTHROP TO USE CERTAIN PARK AND RECREATION LAND FOR SCHOOL PURPOSES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives
in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same,
The town of Winthrop is hereby authorized to use a certain
parcel of land currently used for park and recreation purposes for
the construction, maintenance and use of schools and educational facilities,
facilities for athletics, community programs and activities, and for general
recreational use. Ancillary uses of said parcel may include access, parking,
support facilities and replacement park land. Said parcel is shown on a deed
of the United States of America, acting by and through
the Administrator of General Services dated August 10, 1967, and recorded
in the Suffolk county registry of deeds in Book 8139, Page 299.
This act shall take effect upon its passage.
