AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE TOWN OF HARWICH TO LEASE CERTAIN LAND.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives
in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same,
The town of Harwich, acting by and through its board of
lease a certain parcel of land to the Harwich
chamber of commerce for the purpose of constructing and operating
information booth and public restrooms. The term of the lease shall not
25 years. The parcel is a portion of Parcel F3-A on the town of Harwich
Assessor's Map 14. The lease may provide for a joint private-public
between the town and the chamber for such construction and operation and for
other terms and conditions as the board of selectmen deems
section 16 of chapter 30B of the General Laws shall apply to the lease
authorized by section 1. The
parcel described in section 1 may not be assigned to others, or
by any lessee, without the prior written approval of the board of
selectmen. Any further
disposition of the parcel, other than that authorized by this act,
be subject to said chapter 30B and any other applicable
the General Laws.
This act shall take effect upon its passage.
