AN ACT RELATIVE TO AFFORDABLE HOUSING IN THE TOWN OF TRURO.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives
in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same,
Notwithstanding section 5 of chapter 293 of the acts of
1998, the town
of Truro may expend funds received under said chapter 293 for affordable
purposes; but funds expended for affordable housing purposes
not exceed 10 per cent of the total funds received under said chapter 293.
This act shall be submitted to the voters of the town of
Truro at the
next annual or special town election in the form of the following question
shall be placed on the official ballot to be used at the election in the
"Shall an act passed by the general court in the year 2002, entitled
'An Act relative to affordable housing in the town of Truro', be accepted?"
If a majority of the votes cast in answer to such question is in the
this act shall thereupon take full effect, but not otherwise.
This act shall take effect upon its passage.
