AN ACT RELATIVE TO THE ELIGIBILITY OF CERTAIN BENEFICIARIES FOR ACCIDENTAL DEATH RETIREMENT BENEFITS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives
in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same,
Notwithstanding any general or special law to the
contrary, the retirement board of the city of
Chelsea may determine Robert Better, a former deputy chief
of the fire department of said city of Chelsea, his heirs and estate, eligible
for benefits arising pursuant to section 94B of chapter 32 of the General Laws.
The Hampden county regional retirement board shall
reinstate the accidental death benefits payable to Diane Miller-Goodrich, the
surviving spouse of James S. Miller, a department of public works employee in
the town of Wilbraham, under paragraph (a) of subsection (2) of section 9 of chapter 32 of the General Laws, notwithstanding her remarriage.
