Decker","Type":1,"Details":"https://malegislature.gov/api/GeneralCourts/194/LegislativeMembers/MCD1","ResponseDate":"2025-10-28T16:02:27.72"},"Category":null,"Action":"Adopted, as Amended","RollCall":[],"Title":"Reporting on District Literacy Educator Staffing Levels","Branch":"House","RedraftNumber":null,"IsFurther":false,"GeneralCourtNumber":194,"Text":"Ms. Decker of Cambridge moves to amend the bill by striking out the amendment in its entirety and inserting in place thereof the following:-\r\n\tMs. Decker of Cambridge moves to amend the bill in section 2 by inserting after paragraph (7), in lines 57 to 58, inclusive, of subsection (e) the following subsection:-\r\n\t(f) Annually, not later than October 31, each school district shall report to the department the number of reading specialists, reading interventionists, literacy coordinators, school librarians, library aides, education support professionals and other staff employed by the district that directly support student reading and literacy development.\r\n\tAnd further amend the bill by inserting after section 12 the following section:-\r\n\tSECTION 12A. School districts shall begin reporting required pursuant to subsection (f) of section 1E ½ of the General Laws not later than October 31, 2026 for the 2025-2026 school year.\r\n"}
